Basics
Name: Andromeda
Nickname(s): 'Dromeda, Andie
Age: 44
Birthday: May 18, 1953
House: Former
Year: Graduate
Job Position: Possibly the owner of Honeydukes? (-crosses fingers.-)
Creature: Human
Wand: (size, wood, core) Detailed elm wand. It is just shy of nine inches long. This wand's core is Hippogriff Talon.
Affiliation: Nuetral, though leaning towards the light side because of Ted and Nymphadora.
Physical Looks
Eyes:
Andromeda closely resembles her older sister Bellatrix, but through the years she her resemblance has become less pronounced. Her features are softer and less intense than both her sisters. Her eyes are wider and much kinder compared to those of her sister's, and they are a lighter shade of brown. They are more revealing of her emotions as well, which can be a good thing and a bad thing at times.
Hair:
Her hair is a lighter, softer shade of brown compared to the dark black of Bella's and the light blonde of Narcissa's. Unlike Narcissa's, her hair is not always straight, and it is definitely not as unkempt as Bella's. It is thick, long, and has soft locks of curls that fall down around her face. It is usually neat unless she has been caught in a sad or angry mood.
Markings:
Her arms are completely free of the Dark Mark, unlike her two sisters. She does not really have any defining features, either.
Accent:
Same as Narcissa's and Bella's.
Personality
General Attitude:
Clean, clean, clean. She likes to be clean. Anything and everything, clean! She's a kid at heart, really, even though she's a mom herself. She's loving and caring, and thinks that everyone should be treated equally. She may be a 'blood-traitor', but she is proud of this because of her family's ways. She isn't exactly care-free and she is constantly worrying over her husband and daughter these days.
She does have an ego though. Black arrogance simply does not wash completely away. She was bossy in school, and she did have a tendency to believe that everything should be given to her. She was born practically royalty after all, and she raised to believe no different. She's grown quite a bit, leaving everything you've ever known tends to show an inner strength a person might have never known she had.
First and foremost, she has a big heart. She always did have a big heart even when she was younger and still quite bratty. She's now dependable with a fantastic sense of humor, and she likes to think she's a better person then before.
Goals:
Her goals at the moment include keeping her home and family as safe as possible. With all the Death Eaters roaming around, searching for muggles, muggle-borns, blood-traitors (like herself), Harry Potter and other Order Members, it is becoming more difficult for a woman. She also has the goal to keep her daughter, lovely little Nymphadora, from harm. She's in the Order business, and this angers Andromeda a bit because she gets so worried.
Likes:
Andromeda has always had this liking for keeping things clean. Her house, her appearance, her husband, her daughter, practically everything she can get her hands on. She loves her husband Teddy with all her heart, and her daughter Nympadora is the love of her life. Like Narcissa, she is a protective mother as well. She also kind of has this thing for sweets, such as Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, etc..
Dislikes:
Andromeda absolutely hates it when things get messy and untidy. She also dislikes anything that hurts or displeases Nymphadora and Ted. She's not fond of feeling out of sorts or stupid, but is anyone? She dislikes her family for disowning her for marrying a Muggle-born. Because of this, anyone who is prejudice against muggles and muggle-borns is on her bad list as well. She also dislikes the Dark Lord and Death Eaters combined.
Abilities:
Andromeda was always very good at making people smile and being charming. She was good at Charms as a student, and Transfiguration as well. She also has a knack of getting out a trouble, especially when it comes to Ted. She has this pouty-face that makes you want to hug her, sometimes, when she uses it right. She also has this ability to annoy her daughter, like many mothers do. It's just a motherly thing.
Bad Habits:
She has a bad habit at being OCD most of the time. She *needs* cleanliness. She's very stubborn at times, especially when she doesn't get her way. She may at times throw a hissy fit as well, mostly because of Ted or Nymphadora. She also has a weakness when it comes to her sweet tooth.
Fears:
Her biggest fear is something happening to her precious daughter, Nymphadora. Right up there with that fear is the fear of losing her husband, Ted. She's quite afraid of what the Dark Lord can do, and his followers, the Death Eaters. Although many people don't know this, she is actually afraid of ever bumping into her sisters again. Lucius Malfoy also creeps her out...

Family
Parents: Cygnus and Druella {Rosier} Black
Siblings: Bellatrix {Black} Lestrange, Narcissa {Black} Malfoy
Blood: Pure blood.
Pet: N/A.
Economic background: She was quite rich, though now she is simply trying to make ends meet with Ted.
History:
Cygnus Black and Druella Rosier were the pinnacle of a proper pure-blood couple. They were rich, practically royalty, and raised their children with the ideals they were raised to believe. They had children not long after marrying. Bellatrix was born first, followed closely by Andromeda and later Narcissa.
The Black sisters were all born two years or less apart, which was actually good for them. The sisters were close and got along very well, though Bella and Cissy were always closer to each other than they were with Andromeda.
Andromeda never went without anything she wanted or needed. She went to Hogwarts, and like everyone in her family before, she was sorted into Slytherin.
There comes a time in most people’s lives when they do actually begin to think for themselves, and as time went on the more Andromeda began to think, and honestly, things were just messed up in her opinion. She honestly didn’t understand how the magical status of her ancestors actually made her better than anyone else. She never really voiced these thoughts though.
It wasn’t until her sixth year in NEWT level charms that that all changed. She met Ted Tonks. She’d seen him around of course, but Andromeda had mainly stuck to her “friends” in Slytherin, when she was around people, and didn’t tend to pay much attention to other people in her year.
Over the years Andromeda had begun to pull away from everyone, her “friends” and her sisters. As a result she realized that she worked so much better on her own. So she sat at the table by herself on the first day of term near the back. Ted, on the other hand, was late, and in a desperate attempt to not be caught, he flung himself in the nearest chair he could find much to Andromeda’s annoyance. Ted was a mess; Ted was disorganized; Ted made jokes constantly (good jokes, sure, but still jokes). Regardless the two worked well together in class, yet didn’t speak to each other outside of it.
Ted probably heard a few stories in his dorm about the Blacks, and Andromeda stayed only partly annoyed with the boy these day, but she was still surprised when he chose to sit next to her the following term after Christmas. This term led to an acquaintanceship and library meetings and ended with the two as friends.
Going home for the summer was tough. Normally Andromeda had gotten used to just ignoring her family these days for the most part, but anytime they were forced out and about and some derogatory remark or elitist behavior took place it just made her angry. She surprised everyone her seventh year for showing up early to Charms to find a seat next to Ted. She did so in Transfiguration as well. Her favorite and strongest classes. A romance started not long after. They would take walks and talk for ages about anything. She even confided to him that her number one ambition at this point in her life was to leave her family and just get away from the craziness.
The school year ended, and Andromeda did go home, mainly because she really didn’t have anywhere else to go. It was with the announcement of Bella’s impending engagement where things went south. Andromeda had planned on a quiet departure from her home, but this was anything but quiet. There was a family dinner, the announcement was made, and after the congratulations went around, Cygnus and Druella started in on Andromeda. Telling her how finding a proper husband was an important thing to do, and even going so far as suggesting people as a possible match. That was when she snapped. She said she was already seeing someone, and that she was not going to allow them to control her life, and when quizzed about who it was, she admitted that he was a muggle-born.
The story would be told two different ways. One that Andromeda left directly after, and two that her family disowned her and rejected her first. Regardless the result was the same. Andromeda left. She went straight to Ted's and stayed for a week or so before leaving for her own flat, wanting to try it on her own for a while. Later they were married and had a lovely daughter, which she ended up naming Nymphadora, much to her daughter's dislike. It was a stressful event though, and there were many complications.
Now that Tonks has left and joined the Order, Andromeda has done nothing but worry. With the way the Wizarding world has been going, who knows what could happen to her daughter out there while trying to protect Harry Potter and his friends. She tries to occupy herself with keeping the house clean, but there is only so much to clean after awhile. At least she still has her Ted around, but even he doesn't always keep her mind off their daughter.
Sample RP:
Whimpering, twisting, turning, shaking, and finally a plead of, "Leave my daughter alone!" Andromeda sprung up, her eyes flew open as she glanced around the room. The light from the sun shone through the window of her room, the birds chirping outside as the day started. Andromeda sat there with the pillows and covers thrown carelessly around the room, her breathing was heavy and she seemed to be sweating a bit. Though nothing was wrong, there was no one else there in the house...
A nightmare, she thought, it was only a nightmare.
A horrible nightmare at that. A masked Death Eater had been cursing her daughter, torturing her and was about to possibly do even more. But it was not real, there was nothing to worry about.
But that wouldn't stop her from worrying about her daughter. And where was Ted? Had he been found and taken by the Ministry for investigation? Or worse, had he been found by a Death Eater... Or ever worse, the Dark Lord? He might be hurt, or even worse, maybe even kil--
No, he was perfectly fine. He must have gone to Diagon Alley or something to do some shopping or something. And Nymphadora, she was safe with the Order. There were plenty of other members there to protect her, unless they had been busy protecting Harry Potter instead and left her to di--
No, Dora was fine. Ted was fine. Everything was fine. Yes, that's right. Everything was fine. Andromeda took a deep breath, then looked around the room once more.
"Oh, what a mess," she sighed, and with that she let herself fall back onto the bed, not quite ready to start another day.
