Katie Bell's blond hair flailed behind her in perfect curls. Her eyes glanced around as she made her way down the streets of Hogsmeade with her pet owl fluttering behind her. The winged, black bird was silent and it was what Katie loved most about his silence. She looked back behind to eye him. She grinned at him and clicked to him, listening to his responsive clicks and hoots.
Katie giggled and carried on down the street. Her black pumps clicked against the stone sidewalk. She carried herself elegantly as she walked. Katie wore a knee-length, purple dress that swayed with the light winds. Around her neck she wore a golden chain necklace that hung rather low. Over her shoulder was her work bag. Katie was on break for two hours and decided to visit her favorite twins. She was headed towards the Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes shop which wasn't too much of a walk from her place.
The young girl finally made it, pulling open the door to be greeted by a large crowd of people crammed into the store. Katie let her owl go out and hunt while she visited the twins. She pushed her way through the crowd of students and pranksters alike. She grinned when she saw a few readheads seemingly talking to a few customers so she decided to wait where she loved to the most. Katie hopped onto the top of the counter, sitting with her legs crossed. Her legs dangled above the ground as she leaned against the palms of her hands that lay flat on the glass countertop.

Fred and George were dressed in their usual work robes, serving the swarms of customers. Fred was busy selling some giggling fist years a batch of pigmy puffs, and George had just gone into the back to grab some more stock. Fred's gaze shot towards the door as he heard the familiar tinkle of the bell on the door, and saw a blond head, at least half a foot taller then their young customers, step into the store. He recognized her immediately. A smile grew on his face as he stepped away from the giddy girls, heading to the back.
"Hey, your Lass is here."
Fred teased, taking the box from George. He laughed as George basically ran out to the store front, fixing his hair before he pushed the curtains aside and strode out into the crowded shop.
George hadn't seen Katie in what seemed like weeks. He smiled at her as he approached the counter, sliding up beside her.
"Alright, Im gunna have to ask you to leave. Your distracting our Male customers from our products."
George said jokingly. He put an arm around her, a strickty friends move, but made sure that the pre-pubescent boys weren't ogling over here anymore.
"So, what brings a fine thing like yourself to our humble little shop?"

Katie let out a melodic laugh. Her brown eyes twinkled with happiness as she looked at the red-haired boy that had sidled up beside her and placed his arm around her waist in a friendly manner. Katie grinned and looked down at George who wasn't that short even if she was sitting on the counter. She reached up a hand to mess with his red hair. "You're so funny," she teased and playfully punched him in the arm. It was true. Ever since Katie left Hogwarts she had grown..and by grown I mean GROWN. Katie was a lot prettier than she had once been now that she had time to take care of herself more.
She looked at the staring boys that seemed to be in awe. "I see what you mean.." she trailed off with a sly look on her face. She grinned and looked back at George. She loved the way George spoke to her as if he owned her. It made her feel like someone. She looked to the back to see if Fred was around too. Both boys made Katie happy, but George made Katie the happiest. It was his personality that hit it off with hers.
"What? Don't I deserve to be in the most active shop in Hogsmeade?" she teased with a fake pout and sad look. If anything, Katie was probably the best at acting and faking things. She eyed George with the fake sad look, but from the corner of her eyes she watched and noticed a few boys still staring at her.

George smiled up at her, admiring her beauty. He had always thought that she was beautiful when they were at Hogwarts together, and since they've left... Well, let's just say there was a reason that people often asked if she was part veela. George shot a glare at the still staring boys, the looked back to her, hopping up onto the counter beside her, re-placing his arm around her.
"You better put that lip back in before it falls right off."
George teased, grabbing her lip gently and tugging it. He loved teasing her. She was one of the few girls who knew how to take a joke. Most of them just gasped and slapped his when he tried making them laugh. But not Katie. They had basically grown up together, so they knew each other too well to get their intentions mixed up.

Katie laughed wholeheartedly and playfully slapped his hand away. "Says who?" she chuckled. Katie's pout turned into a devilish grin. She shot a hot glance at the boys staring and immediately the shop became crowded again and no one was staring anymore. Katie turned back to George and poked his arm.
It was great since Katie had grown up with George and Fred. She had known the twins since she was a first year at Hogwarts. It was funny how so many people though she was a veela and thought that George would get sucked into it. However, even if she was a veela George would've definitely been Katie's choice. She had liked him since day one and the two had grown up together.
Most people asked how she could stand his pranks and jokes. Katie had always responded with a why not? The two were joking anyways and Katie was too afraid to admit her crush on George so by taking his jokes as jokes she got closer and closer to him each day.

George smiled and shrugged.
"I dunno. I guess my mum always told us so we wouldn't pout. Or was it.."You better put that lip back in before i curse it off..."... Yeah.. that sounds right. But i don't think i would have said that to you"
He said, letting out a small laugh. George knew that Katie could take their jokes, but he also knew that she had a quite fiery temper, that was often set off by their jokes that were taken a bit too far. They usually laughed about it later, though she scarred the hell out of the twins when she went from veela to dragon.
George couldn't help but let out a loud "HA!" as she managed to shut the hormone infested boys up with just one glance. George remembered when he was like that, ogling over anything that had a chest. Thankfully enough, that faze passed years ago. But he still stole glances once in a while, learning over the years to conceal it better.
"So, what are you doing tonight?"
George asked he casually. Going out with her for a few drinks had been something he wanted to do with her for a long time, but he never really got the opportunity to ask her. He always got so nervous, but he just blurted it out before his mind could process what he had said.

Katie nodded going along with his pouting story. "Ah, I see. Well good thing your mum didn't curse it off," she chuckled and acknowledged. "Mmm..good choice," she said when he said he wouldn't have said that to her. It would have been funny if he had said that thought.
Katie watched him let out a small laugh and couldn't help but feel her heart pounding in her ears. In her eyes, George was the most handsome boy in the world and even if he didn't return the feelings, Katie would always feel that way about him. Ever since her run-in with Oliver Wood, Katie wanted George more than anything.
She giggled at his loud exclamation. "Oh come on now. You know you were the exact same way," she teased him playfully. She eyed the teenage boys around her. She wasn't much older than most of them. She was only 18 years old anyways. Kaite shrugged and turned back to George's beaming face. "Tonight?" she asked tilting her head and thinking.
Katie was silent for a few minutes thinking about it. "Nothing. I get to leave early tonight since Marie is coming to fill in for me so nothing really. Why?" she asked in amusement. Her brown eyes gazed at his expectantly, wanting an answer to his simple request.

George shook his head.
"I was not!! I ogled you! not girls that were obviously older then I was!''
He said loudly, looking over at the boys. They turned away quickly, and a satisfied smirk grew on his face. The fact that they were ogling her wasn't the problem... wait.. yes it was! For the longest time now, George had felt a strong sense of ownership over Katie, and went out of his way to prove it. With any other girl it would have been hard core flirting, but with them, it was just friendly. Well, maybe it was to her, but George didn't want to make his feelings for her too obvious. If she didn't feel the same way, then their friendship could be affected, and he didn't want that.
"Well, I--I just thought.. Fred was going to stay and close the shop late tonight, he has a meeting with someone from the ministry, so i was gunna go out for a couple of drinks.."
In all his Hogwarts career, he had never once stammered asking a girl out, and he especially had never stammered infront of Katie. Maybe because he didn't see this as going out as just friends.
"You know, kind of like a date?"
He said, smiling at her.

Katie chuckled. "Mmhhmm...you sound so convincing," she admired.
Katie watched the other boys turn and it made her feel so loved. It wa not the problem that they were ogling at her, but the fact that she felt like she already belonged to George made it hard for her to stand them gazing at her. Good thing George felt ownership as well. She sighed and shook her head, letting the blond curls bounce around. She listened to him stammer and felt a pang of sympathy for him and a bit of amusement.
"Oh. Of course," she said with a wide grin. Never had Katie been asked out like that before. Sure, Oliver Wood...a strange Slytherin boy, and once by a Durmstrangs boy. That was about it. Oh, and let's not forget Cedric Diggory who Katie had graciously declined. Only the Durmstrangs boy was lucky since Katie had failed to find a date to the ball.
The word date hit Katie like a coconut thrown at her head. She felt a bit flustered by that word knowing that Katie had actually wanted to date George since her second year. "All right. Did you have any place in mind?" she asked him.

George's heart hammered loudly in his chest as he awaited her answer, unconsciously holding his breath. When she responded, he let out his breath in a sigh of releif.
"Excellent. Well, i was thinking we could go to this place that i know. It's a muggle bar, but it's pretty fun."
He said, smiling broadly. He had finally succeeded in a task that he had been trying to achieve for years now. He had lost count somewhere around fourth year. Now that was out of the way, George couldn't think of what else to say... But if he didn't, then there would be that awkward silence that followed being asked out on a date. Conversation always came so naturally with Katie, and he hoped that it would return once they were out on their date.
"Soo.. I was going to tell you to wear something nice, but it seems that you've already got that down. So when did you learn to walk in heels?"
He asked, looking down at her pumps. They added length to her already perfect legs, and he could only imagine what she would look like walking in them. A smirk played across his lips as he thought of her swaying hips.

Katie chuckled and nodded her head. "Alright then," she said happily. She looked at George's perfect face. It made her so happy whenever she looked at his face. He was so handsome and hopefully they could continue the conversation. Naturally, Katie was great when it came to talking so the two of them had nothing to worry about. She brushed back a strand of blond hair and kept her brown eyes on George as she listened to his next few comments that made her feel as if she was home at Hogwarts again.
"Well clearly. I must have such amazing skills," she said with an added wink for effect. She giggled softly. "Heels? I'm a girl aren't I? We're so spectacular that we learn when it comes time for the Yule Ball and you have a huge Durmstrangs boys dancing with you and you're not tall enough for him," she reminisced lightheartedly.
She noticed him looking down at her legs with a smirk playing on his lips. She playfully poked him. "Sorry to bring you out of dreamland, but those are my legs you're staring at," she teased him. Katie reached out and ruffled George's red hair. It was funny how boys were sometimes especially Weasley boys named George. "So are you wearing that?" she asked motioning to his work outfit.

George was always so jealous that Katie went to the Yule Ball with another guy. Every day Fred would ask him if he had asked her out yet, but he never worked up the courage to actually go through with his plans. The morning that he was about to ask her, he saw one of the Durmstrang boys asking her out in the hallway. It had almost crushed him, but he took someone else, and they danced a couple of dances together. It was a good time. He smiled and looked away from her, faking his shame.
"I wasn't looking at your legs"
He said, raising his eyebrows at her in a jokingly suggestive manner. The only way he ould of gotten out of that one un-scathed was if he joked about it. Making jokes was almost always a fail safe plan. He looked down at his Magenta robes, which greatly clashed with his hair. He laughed and shook his head.
"I dunno. I was thinking about it."
He said, pulling on the robes. He hated the color, but it had been Fred's idea, and it wasn't that big of a deal. He wore wizard robes a lot, more then Fred did, but he did have muggle clothes.
"No, i think that would be a little bit too embarrassing for you."

Katie laughed softly at George. Such a silly boy. "Mmhm..very convincing," she joked and blushed a bit. She didn't mind George looking at her legs really. In fact, it made Katie feel good about herself. She uncrossed her legs and let them dangle above the ground for a few moments, her gaze down on the floor. She thought of the Durmstrangs boy. He was definitely handsome, but never compared to George Weasley.
"Aw come on, that's not embarrassing," she said and gave him a small, friendly hug. Katie noticed how badly his robes clashed with his hair. And I always thought Fred was the more sensible one.. she thought to herself. She smirked at the thought.
Katie tugged at the end of her dress, pulling it down a bit more. She looked around the shop still noticing the mounds of people running up to Fred and greeting the boy. Must've sucked for the other Weasley twin when his brother was busy flirting.

George hugged her back, a sense of happiness filling inside him as he wrapped his arms around her. He smiled as they pulled apart, running his fingers through his now messy hair.
"Great, now I'm gunna have to brush it."
He said with an exasperated sigh. He rolled his eyes at her, jokingly punching her shoulder. George glanced over his shoulder at Fred, who was looking over at him pleadingly, trying to serve the rabid customers. Sometimes it felt like his whole life was the shop, that they never got to go out and do teenager stuff. It didn't bother him that much, because he enjoyed it. Maybe if the customers weren't always so pushy...
George let out a small sigh and turned back to Katie.
"Well, i guess I've done enough slacking off for a bit. Meet you back here at ten?"
He asked her, fixing his robes.
((Okay, after you post, i'm gunna skip to ten and he'll be waiting outside the shop))

Katie chuckled. "Leave it like that.." she paused for a second and grinned. "It looks better," she said with a wink. She noted that he was looking over his shoulder at Fred. He sighed and Katie knew what was coming. "Heh, alright. I'll be back for ya," she said happily.
Katie hopped off the counter top and blew a kiss and waved to George and Fred. She grinned and watched the boys ogling at her again. She shook her head and laughed, pulling her bag off the counter behind her and heading towards the door. Once outside, Katie did a small twirl of excitement before heading off to her flat and skipping the rest of the day to let Marie take over.
